Support a young lady's Spinal Surgery bills.

Objective of campaign:

A 23 years old lady proceeding medical tests revealed that she has a severe case of scoliosis – a bent spine. Atiqah now has to undergo Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion - a spinal surgery to prevent it from getting worse.  She and her parents are in urgent need of financial assistance for a surgery bills totaling up to RM26,000.

Background:

Back in 2014, Atiqah (23 years old) met with a motor accident. Since then, she had been experiencing back aches. This got worsened in 2019, when Atiqah was experiencing severe menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea) to the point where she fainted and had to be rushed to the hospital.

After she had a proper check up, the result revealed that she has a severe case of scoliosis – a bent spine. Atiqah now has to undergo Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion - a spinal surgery to prevent it from getting worse.

Due to COVID-19 and financial issues the operation could not be carried out and she is currently living in pain. The patient currently finds it challenging to carry out any heavy work/tasks and she cannot stand for more than 1 hour. In Atiqah’s case, the longer the condition goes untreated, the more complication gets, and thus so will the price of the surgery.

Furthermore, her husband is also finding it difficult to support Atiqah as he was laid off recently due to COVID-19. Her parents are now assisting her with their meager salary of RM3000.
