Paralyzed muscles as early as 7 months old!

"Aren't you taking your folic acid?"

It's easy for people to talk.

They don't even consider the emotions of a mother who is battling to raise a sick child.

According to Noor Arizawati (Wati), 41, Anas was born healthy but his health began to deteriorate at the age of 7 months.

Legs can't be lifted.

The only position is lying down.

At first, the doctor assumed Anas simply had muscle weakness, so he had three MRIs and blood tests done to confirm his diagnosis.

"Apparently Anas had SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) Type 2 or a nerve disorder," sobbed Wati.

Anas has started showing symptoms, such as being unable to move his legs or hold objects in his hands.

This illness also caused Anas to consistently develop pneumonia or lung infections.

“Anas had been hospitalized 8 times because of this pneumonia,” said Wati.

Anas really requires a Cough Assist Machine, according to the doctor to keep his lungs healthy.

Wati is just like any other mother.

She wants Anas to be healthy and grow up like any other boy who can walk and run.
